Since LED lamps entered the market a few years ago, they have undergone a number of evolutionary changes that have improved every aspect of their performance. One of the most important steps was the advent of SMD technology - short for surface mount device. It is important for many reasons, and we will now look at some of them.

Improve energy efficiency

One of the biggest improvements is that YeJin lightingoffer a higher lumen output with reduced energy consumption - which makes them more powerful and energy efficient than older LED lights.

This is because they work on the principle that fewer and larger SMD LEDs produce greater lumen output. Bulbs with fewer SMDs manage to achieve higher lumen counts.

Wider Beam Angle

SMD spotlights also address one of the early criticisms of LEDs from a few years ago - that their light is too concentrated and does not spread well. Typically, SMD bulbs have a beam angle of 120 - even more than most halogen bulbs.

Longer life

SMD LEDs also improve the already impressive service life. Standard LED bulbs can last up to 30,000 hours, but our SMD LEDs will last up to 50,000 hours!

Now think about using SMD LEDs throughout your house - this will significantly reduce maintenance costs and ensure that you spend much less on replacement bulbs.

Smaller footprint

Another benefit of SMDs is that they are surface-mounted - lying flat against the surface of the bulb. They take up much less space than our clustered LED bulbs. Ultimately this means that our SMD spotlights are compatible with all halogen fixtures and look very stylish.

With all of this in mind, it may be worth considering SMD LEDs as a "second generation" LED lamp that makes the technology more versatile and better suited to compete with more traditional lighting solutions.

If you're looking for lower base energy costs with high-performance bulbs, then our SMD spotlights are definitely the right choice for you.
